Meet the Artist

Luanda Sharper Wiggins is from the small town of Elm City, North Carolina. She’s always loved the arts and growing up she was a singer. As an adult, when she started having a family, she focused on her children and their talents, and she constantly pushed them to explore and express their creativity and talents. Then one day, she came up with a brilliant idea…to introduce her son to the world of painting! Luanda went out and bought all the supplies, and she was excited. But when she showed her son how it all worked, he wasn't interested. So, Luanda thought, why not teach herself how to do something new, and that's how she started on her journey to becoming an artist. She enjoys working with acrylic paint, spray paint, and mixed media, and continues to push herself to learn and improve her practice.

Aside from my work, Luanda is a wife and grandma who enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to meet up with her girls at the farmers market on Saturday mornings for coffee and gossip. She enjoys teaching others what she's learned, whether it's through mentoring young talent or contributing to social causes. Luanda believes in using her skills to make a positive impact.

Throughout her journey, Luanda has faced challenges, heartbreak, and setbacks, but she has remained focused on her goals. She believes handwork is the key, and she is determined to continue growing and achieving her goals. Luanda is excited for what the future holds, and she can't wait to see where her passion and determination will take her.
