IS IT HOT IN HERE? MUG

Make art a part of your everyday routine! This mug is great for sipping coffee, tea, cocoa and more. The design is adapted from one of Carol Torian's most popular paintings titled "IS IT HOT IN HERE? OR, IS IT JUST ME?" The painting was recently featured in the 2023 M is for Menopause, Baby! art exhibition.

Vasomotor symptoms (VMS), commonly called hot flashes and night sweats inspired this piece.  This vasomotor menopause symptom impacts roughly 75 percent of American women going through perimenopause and menopause, according to The North American Menopause Society (NAMS). You are viewing the back of this woman as she leans to the side and shouts to anyone in earshot, “IS IT HOT IN HERE? OR, IS IT JUST ME?” If you look closely, you may be able to see some of the faceless women that I “tattooed” on my subject’s arms and back. I wanted to convey that this woman is not alone in her experience.   -Carol Torian
