Collection: Color Our World: PETALS, May - July 2025

Visit the Wake County Express Library on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh to step into a world where color blooms and brushstrokes whisper the secrets of nature. Our newest exhibition Petals is an intimate collection of floral paintings that invite viewers to explore the timeless beauty and emotional depth of flowers. Each piece is a testament to growth, transformation, fragility, and resilience. The works on display celebrate the enduring power of flowers to inspire, comfort, and connect. Throughout life, we often use flowers to mark important milestones, and the Petals exhibition reminds us that a single flower can tell a thousand stories. The exhibition is on view now through July 31, 2025. Location: Wake County Express Library Fayetteville Street, 336 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.

While this curated selection at the library offers a focused glimpse into the beauty of botanical art, it is only a small part of Drinking Gourd Gallery's larger floral collection.

We invite you to enjoy the in-person experience and then continue your journey—online here on the gallery website—to discover the full range of floral works that we have available.  From abstracts to fields of blossoms, our floral collection celebrates the many ways artists have captured the spirit of flowers across styles, interpretations, and media.
