Collection: "M" is for Menopause October 2026
“M” is for Menopause is an annual group art exhibition that delves into the journey of menopause, celebrating its challenges, transformations, and triumphs. Through a diverse collection of works, artists explore themes such as aging, identity, resilience, and the power of self-reinvention. "M" is for Menopause will raise awareness about menopause and offer accurate information to challenge the myths, stereotypes and stigma that surround the menopausal journey. This exhibition and associated programming is for everyone—whether you are experiencing menopause, know someone who is, or simply want to learn more.
Did you know?...World Menopause Day is led by the International Menopause Society, and it is held every year on October 18. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness about menopause and the support options available for improving health and wellbeing.
Understanding the Menopausal Journey...
Perimenopause is a time in a person’s life when menstrual periods become irregular or heavy as they approaches menopause. Menopause is when a person hasn't had a period for 12 months in a row. Menopause is not a disease. Menopause is not a mental health condition. It is a natural part of the aging process. In the United Stares, the average age for menopause is 51. However, it can occur earlier in life. Postmenopause is the time after menopause, when a person hasn't experienced a period for over a year.
